FIRST
Back in October, I sold my very first painting at my opening art show. It was a moment I will remember for the rest of my life. As an artist, a painting starts with an idea. That idea gets sketched to paper, however many different, often frustrating, renditions it may take. Once I'm finally happy with the sketch, it gets transferred to canvas and there, I begin to bring that idea to life. For me, there's something sorta magical about the process. Sometimes that whole process can take years. Paintings become a part of you. They represent chapters in your life. For me, there is truly a piece of my heart in every piece I create. The greatest thing I've now come to realize, is that for the painting, it now has a whole new chapter. It leaves me and is now off to make someone else happy. A brand new set of eyes will see it and connect to it. A huge thank you to CJ, for supporting me as an artist and for giving "Shaka Mouse" a great new home. I couldn't be happier.
