WHAT MADE THE GRAY SQUIRREL CRY

I was rummaging through Instagram the other day and came across a contest on my favorite artist's feed. Greg Simkins had teamed up with Trekell Art Supplies to release his very own line of paints. The first color to come out is called "Gray Squirrel Tears". The parameters of the contest was to draw a picture of what made the Gray Squirrel cry. It seemed like a good idea to see what I could come up with because ya know, other than having a 3 week old baby, winning some free paint and brushes seemed like the most important thing in life right now. It's a little interesting trying to get any creative work done with a 3 week old controlling your every move. Let's just say I'm trying to get used to working in 5-10 minute intervals. Oh, and if you ever want to see my son cry uncontrollably, just pour your milk on your cereal. Every time! Hashtag soggy cereal.

 And yes, the Acorn Monster made the Gray Squirrel cry. It was the Acorn Monster I tell you!Never ever grow up!- Dru
