FREMONT UNDERGROUND
This past Saturday was the FUSE (Fremont Underground Social Experience) show where I debuted my latest painting (more on that later). It was my first time showing at this event and I must say, it got off to a rocky start. I didn't really know how to best set up my booth and I apparently don't know how to use zip ties. But lucky for me, I'm married to someone that kinda knows how to do everything. It was pretty windy and that didn't help setting things up, but eventually my makeshift booth was up and it was time for the event to start.Thank you everyone that came out to support. I know how busy weekends can get and for you to take time out of your Saturday night to check out some artwork in Fremont, it really means a lot to me. I met a lot of cool artists and maybe even made some new friends, but I was pleasantly surprised to run into some old ones just as well. I had a great time catching up with this guy and his family.
My booth was definitely the only booth with a baby stroller inside.
I'd say for my first time showing at FUSE, it went as could be expected. I learned a few do's and do not's for the next and last show of the season, which will be Saturday, October 18. All in all, I'd say it was a good night...and that was before these guys showed up...
The biggest, hugest thank you to Chris, BC, and Jen (behind the camera) for helping me break down my booth and pack it into my car. You seriously cut the labor time in half. And then, the night went in an unexpected direction, and the fun really began...Never ever grow up!- Dru
