RIDING GIANTS

I debuted my latest painting at FUSE this past Saturday. This one was a beast to complete, literally. Probably my favorite moment from the show was when I was sitting in my booth by myself, eating a plate of General Tso's Chicken from the adjacent China Chile, when I young girl, probably 9 or 10, walked up to the front of my booth. She stopped and stared at my painting with a half glazed smile across her face. I don't even think she knew I was there because I was seated behind my merchandise table and really low to the ground on one of those reclining beach chairs. I said "Hi", and she said "Hi" back and asked if she could take a picture of my painting. I said "Of course". She took the picture, said "Thanks", and ran off. 30 seconds later she came back with her Mom and said, "See, this is the one I was telling you about". I paint for many reasons, but I think this one might be my favorite.Riding Giants. 36" x 48". Acrylic on canvas.
