CONCEPTION ART SHOW AT LAUGHING MONK BREWING
I'd like to thank everyone that was able to come out and support me at my group art show this past Saturday at Laughing Monk Brewing in San Francisco. Also, a big thanks to Conception Events for putting on a great show. It was great seeing family and of course new and old friends. I met a lot of great artists and even made a few new friends. Which for me, is kind of a big deal due to my increasing anti-socialness.Traffic was heavy in the city and I was probably the last artist to show up and had to set up in about 20 minutes. Here's my effort in my small little corner. Not sure if Liam is hugging sharks or trying to dive into water. Either way, my nephew Isaiah is amused. This was a special night because I was debuting a new painting, which I'll highlight in a later post. The painting has a very deep meaning to my family, especially my Mom.FAMILY stands for Father And Mother I Love You. I bet you didn't know that. Now you do. I don't have an acronym for Sister, Wife, Son and Nephew, but I love you guys too:)Look Liam! Mamma is wearing many hats and Ninang Jerrie Peace has Mickey Mouse ears! This piece sold for 1.2 million. The workforce came with, well, force. Huge thanks to Matt, the unofficial-official FATKID promoter. My co-workers and I had just spent the last week in South Carolina for a conference. We all flew back late Friday night, so to put up with me for another night on top of that, I am very grateful.Jenna and my Goddaughter Casey. Aren't they the cutest!More fun with more friends. I really enjoyed the venue and Craft Beer. Check out Laughing Monk Brewing next time you're in the City.Cousins! Thanks KC and Sharon for making it out and of course for bringing Casey. She made so many random strangers smile and laugh it was borderline creepy. And finally, Besterley and Chris. I know you had a long day so thank you for pushing through and making it. There were plenty of faces not shown, but sincerely thank you to everyone that was able to come. You know who you are. And a special thank you to Mike and Vicky for the late night burrito run. That was essential. Until next time...Never ever grow up!- FATKID
