LIAM'S MONSTER SQUAD

Flipping through my sketchbook, I came across this collaboration series that I started with my son over 2 years ago. I was really excited about this series at the time and for whatever reason it kind of got forgotten about and overlooked. So I was pretty excited when I rediscovered it. With Halloween on the horizon, I'm happy to present to you Liam's Monster Squad. I'll introduce 1 or 2 characters a day leading up to Halloween. First up, say hello to...Perseus the Terrible. 9" x 6". (Charcoal, graphite, acrylic and marker on paper)The idea for this series came one day when I had left out a sketch I was working on for a painting. Liam, about 14 months old at the time, got a hold of the sketch and scribbled over it with crayon. When I discovered what happened, I loved how it turned out! Maybe it's just blind parent pride, but I enjoyed the loose child "scribble" on top of a finely worked sketch. I hope you find this series as fun as I do.Drawings by me. Color by Liam.
