BARKHAD ABDI

This past Sunday night I watched the Oscars... which lead me to want to watch Captain Philips... which lead me to draw this caricature of Barkhad Abdi.

 I love Barkhad Abdi. He is a walking, breathing caricature. Look at his forehead! Look at his ears! Look at his cheekbones. His teeth! He is a cartoon. I love him.I have one serious question about Barkhad Abdi. Is he a real life actor playing the role of a Somali pirate, or is he a real life Somali pirate discovered by the best casting director of all time? I like to imagine the latter to be true. Wow! Imagine that... one day you're hijacking ships off the Somali Coast, and the next thing you know, you're at the Oscars sitting next to Cate Blanchett. What a story.
